i'm running trixbox current release here, have set up the FF addon and configured to what i think should be ok:

server type: AJAM
Host: <myhostip>
Port: 5038
Username: <existing>
Password: <secret>
Extension: <my extension>
context: from-internal

I made sure that manager.conf contains the correct port address.

When i try to dial a number, "Authenticating" appears in the lower right of the FF window, but that's all.

Is Click trixbox compatible, or am i missing something?

Same happens to me (server type: AJAM), it remains in 'Authenticatin', but I'm using Asterisk 1.4.18

Its should work fine with trixbox.

You need to ensure that you have enabled AJAM.
Check /etc/http.conf

You also need to have the  manager api enabled and your ip address must be on the allow list.

Check out /etc/manager.conf to check what is allowed.

It looks like you are using port 5038 (Asterisk Manager Interface) when you should be using port 8088, or whatever port is defined in http.conf.
