When NJ Receptionist starts it is able to automatically pull a list of sip extensions directly from Asterisk and populate your database. Each time you start NJ Receptionist it will check asterisk for any new sip extensions and add them to the db.

Once they have been added you can update the details and add the actual names etc.

Does this sound like your scenario or had you already added the details and now they have disappeared?

I've just re-read your post and I'm wondering if you have some how lost the connection to the derby database. This doesn't sound very likely as derby is built into NJ receptionist and I've never seen it loose the connection.

Have you been making any changes to the derby settings in the NJ receptionist configuration?

Can you post the log file from NJ Reception (clear it out first and then do a restart of NJ receptionist).

Regards,
Brett

I think that you installed with an administrator account and are now running it as a limited user. As the derby db is stored in the installation directory this will be an issue because limited users don't have permission to write to the install directory.

you must either install it in a directory that all users have write permisson, or run it as an administrator for the derby db to work correctly.
