Hi,
unfortunately the specified callerID on the tab Advanced does work.
The server always ignores this so that he alway creates the call without this.
What must be configured to achieve this?
Thanks, Bernd

There is still some issues around the CallerID feature and I'm not certain that I have the code correct for it to work. Unfortunatly I don't have test system that supports caller id at the moment. But it is on my todo list.

In the mean time a few hints that may help.

1. Your telco must support caller id and have it enabled for your telephone lines.

2. You can only set the caller id to a number that you 'own' and which is attached to the telephone line that you are making the call on. You can't just set the caller id to some random number and expect it to work.

CallerId is enabled by our telco and we use only valid callerids for dialing out.

This is the code we use for dialing out:

[normal-out]
exten => _0X.,1,Set(DYNAMIC_FEATURES=automon)
exten => _0X.,2,Set(LANGUAGE()=de)
exten => _0X.,3,Set(CALLERID(number)=${LOCALAREACODE}9671${CALLERID(number)})

Problem is that ${CALLERID(number)} is null. It seems that is not set by NC. We use this code also the normal dialing with our hardphones.

OK, that helps.

Let me see if I can find out what is going on. I may be able to give you a trial version if you are interested in testing it.

After I installed the 1.1 alpha version I tried again.

The callerid is now the dialed number (EXTEN)!

Is it something that should be manged within the dialplan?

Hello;

I made a test with telnet directly to manager interface (issuing the following commands):

action: originate
channel: sip/420
context: default
exten: 335341994
priority: 1
callerid: 01251962420

Response: Success
Message: Originate successfully queued

It worked, I saw the correct callerid (may be can help)

thanks again

Yes that is useful. I will try and find some time to upload a patch version and lets see if that fixes the problem.

No promises. I couldn't sleep so I'm up at 4:00am patching Noojee Click so it could do anything Wink

Have a try I think there is a reasonable chance it will fix the caller id problem.
If not its easy to revert.

Brett.

Yes I don't think it is right either.

I've had another look and tried a new variant. Unfortunately at the moment I don't have a test system that takes callerid so I'm rather relying on you feedback.

I've re-read the documentation (what there is) and its still not clear.

So here is test 3 attached. Let me know how it goes.

Brett,  the only change is that  you  changed the + sign against 00.
But it is still the EXTEN.
Thanks and regards, Bernd

see attached.

I'm pretty certain that this version will correctly set the external caller id as you want.

What I'm not certain about is whether it will set the handset LCD display to the dialed number (which is what I want Wink ).

Try it and can you let me know what both show.

Ta,
Brett

sorry, let me try that again. Small typo stopped the callerId being set, it is now.
