Hi There,

I've just downloaded and installed the trial of the commercial version of Noojee Fax.

When I attempt to dial the DID to receive a fax, I get the following back on the Asterisk CLI:

[Feb  2 16:14:18] ERROR[4355]: pbx.c:3383 ast_func_write: Function FAXOPT not registered

It does this for every FAXOPT command, then just disconnects the call.

I'm running Asterisk 1.6.2.1

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Bruce

It sounds like the digium fax for asterisk module has not loaded.

I will add a short post later to day that provides some details on how to check and remedy this problem.

have a look at this post, I believe that it answers your questions.

http://forums.noojee.com.au/index.php/topic,583.0.html

By the way we don't recommend using asterisk 1.6.2 its still rather green.

Unless you are just testing or know exactly what you are doing I would stick with 1.6.0 or 1.6.1 if you have to.

The rule of thumb with asterisk is you don't install a version into production until it hits 10. e.g. 1.6.0.10 or 1.6.1.10.

By this measure 1.6.2.2 is only 2. Don't do it to yourself Wink

Brett

Thanks Brett,

I'll back down the Asterisk version and read the link that you posted.
